POLICY’S, WARRANTY INFORMATION, AND DISCLAIMERS:
• RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE POLICY:
Here at StreetSmarts Windshield Repair, we try to provide the upmost care, and respect, for our customers. However please keep in mind that our employees are allowed to refuse any service if they deem necessary.
• OUR WARRANTY / REFUND POLICY:
- Here at Street Smarts Windshield Repair, we have so much faith in our repairs we give them 4-Year warranty if they meet our requirements! Although we only use the highest quality’s of resin, and have faith in our work, remember, windshields are pieces of glass that can vary in quality, glued in a fixed position, that undergo thermal expansion and compression which can cause stress. Due to these uncontrollable and possibly harsh conditions, there are a minute amount of repairs that can continue to get worse. Hence why we have our warranty, to try and do right by those whose windshields are more susceptible.
- We will now go over the specifics of our warranties:
• “Full warranty” : For cracks that meet our requirements (Cracks under 2 feet, or chips under the diameter of a softball) we offer a full warranty for 4 years. With this, if your repair ever worsens we can fix it again for FREE as long as it’s still within our requirements, giving it a new warranty with the date it was redone. For the refund, if it the repair ever worsens, instead of redoing it you have the option to get a FULL refund. (The cost with taxes + fees)
• “Partial Warranty” : For cracks that DO NOT meet our requirements (cracks 2 feet or longer, chips with the diameter of a softball or bigger) we only offer a partial warranty for 2 years. With this, if the repair ever worsens we offer ONLY 1 free redo, and it does NOT extend the date of the warranty. For the refund, if the repair ever worsens, instead of the redo if you wish to have a refund we can ONLY refund you 60% of the base price (The cost WITHOUT taxes + fees)
• “No Warranty” : For any chips / cracks we deem absolutely impossible to fix. If you as the customer, still want us to try we can give it an attempt but we DO NOT promise it has a chance of filling in, or holding. It may even get worse DURING the repair. We are not responsible for any possible damages.
• In all three situations we do NOT promise the chip / crack will look better, that’s just a common effect that is a possibility when a CLEAN chip / crack gets filled in.
- Warranty is ONLY valid with paper receipt, or square receipt with receipt number attached. When receiving a refund you will only be refunded the amount of the failed repair, not any others or any previous repairs. We also must physically see in person that the repair failed BEFORE any replacements if you wish to receive a refund. If you replace the glass before we get to see it this will void the warranty.
•LIABILITY & DISCLAIMERS:
Here at StreetSmarts windshield repair, we are NOT responsible for any lost or damaged property. Although it is uncommon, chips / cracks have a possibility of worsening during the repair process. Especially chips / cracks that are on/near near the edge of the windshield, or flat glass windshields (such as Jeeps, especially if it has gorilla glass). Our policy here is if a chip / crack ever worsens during the repair, we notify the customer, and ask if they'd like to try to continue, or leave it as it is. If the customer wishes to leave it as it is, and not continue anymore, at that point, we may give a discount, depending on how much resin/time went into it, or still charge full price. If the customer wishes to try and continue, we will try as long as it stays within our workable range (2 feet), but please keep in mind that there WILL be an increase in price (possible maximum price being $50+TAX) If the crack happens to run passed our workable range, at that point we will NO LONGER be able to offer a “full warranty”, and only a “partial warranty”. We will give the customer another chance to stop and leave it as it is for a partial discount, or possibly the full price depending how much resin/time went into it. If the customer wishes to try and proceed even though we are passed our workable range, we WILL NOT be able to offer a “full warranty” anymore, only a “partial warranty”, and will charge an additional $5 on top of the $50 for EVERY 6 inches it grows passed our workable range.
For any work on chips/cracks that broke through the outside AND inside of the windshield, or that are on/within 6inches of the blackzone of the edges, top, or bottom of the windshield there will be a risk of making them worse DURING the repair. If you accept the risks we may attempt but we are NOT responsible for any damage.
